The National Association of Social Workers, California Chapter (NASW-CA) is proud to release our 2022 Legislative Scorecard. NASW-CA represents approximately 9,000 professional social workers who have degrees from accredited social work programs. NASW-CA advocates on behalf of our members and their clients, for the implementation and improvement of programs and policies designed to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic needs of all people. For more information on the NASW-CA policy priorities, please visit our website.

NASW-CA took a support position on all the bills included in the scorecard. Please note that the Scorecard lists both State Senate and State Assembly. On the Scorecard, you can learn more about each bill and Senator by clicking on their name. Please use the Scorecard Key below as reference.

Text reads “Scorecard Key. NASW-CA took a support position on all the bills included in this scorecard. A green check mark indicates the Assemblymember or Senator voted “yes” on the bill in agreement with the NASW-CA position. A red “x” denotes a “no” vote on a bill we supported or an abstention which also counts as a “no” in the final score. An excused absence does not count against the legislator and is indicated by a dash. A blank space indicates the legislator was not in office at the time of the vote.”
