“Supporting Client Culture” interactive webinars enlighten participants to the concept and reality of a unique ‘client culture’. Understanding the history, psyche and recovery movement of client culture is the vehicle to apply client culturally competent and responsive services.
This training addresses how additional stigma and discrimination experienced by California clients due to age, ethnicity, race, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, in rural/frontier locations, cultural worldviews, trauma and social determinants of health have informed client culture and policy strategies. CAMHPRO highlights various client culturally responsive behavioral health provider approaches for better engagement, and advances the importance of the consumer role in delivering services, in program planning and policy development, ultimately leading to better outcomes.
