As we get closer to a point where many people are vaccinated against COVID-19, and social workers are wondering how to address this in terms of resuming in-person services. Anne Camper and Elizabeth Felton have written an update, COVID-19: Legal Considerations for Resuming In-Person Services: What About Vaccination Requirements? (May 2021), which is available on NASW’s website at the link above or to download in PDF format below. It includes a link to a consent form for use if a social worker decides to require clients to be vaccinated before in-person sessions. Please take the time to review the entire document, and revisit the original guidelines put out last year. You can read the May 2020 article by clicking here.
