  • SAVINGS: NASW student dues are just $57 –a discount of 75% off regular MSW dues and 60% off regular BSW dues! Keep your membership after graduation, to receive 25%-50% discounts off regular dues for up to three years as a transitional member.
  • CAREER SUPPORT: Your membership helps you step into your career with confidence, with job boards and career guidance, networking events, licensing preparation, and more.  You also have the option to post your resume on NASW JobLink, the national social work job board.
  • NETWORKING: Joining makes it easier to connect with other social workers who are preparing for the California licensing exam. It helps to support one another through the process.
  • LOAN FORGIVENESS RESOURCES: You can also find out about the “Student Loan Forgiveness” information and resources.  This can be invaluable information for students.
  • STAY UP-TO-DATE ON POLICY: Ability to learn about policy and NASW’s position through the NASW voter guide and endorsements.
  • INSURANCE PROTECTION: Your membership protects you, with access to affordable liability insurance during your field placement and subsequent employment. Individual coverage is important, even if you are already covered under a school malpractice policy. You can also get discounts on home, auto, life and disability insurances.
  • STAY INFORMED entitles you information about the issues affecting the profession. Become part of the solution with national and state advocacy efforts. NASW dues include National and Chapter membership at NO EXTRA COST.

So what are you waiting for?

Join us! We are YOUR professional association.

We are like-minded social workers to help guide and support you through the transition from student to professional!
