Rent increases in addition overdose deaths and psychiatric hospitalizations in SLO County have led to the need for a greater understanding of addiction and what acre our social service community can provide. The importance of building rapport and connection with clients before correction can lead to better successes. Mr. Buckley will discuss the three levels of care — Hospitalization, Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Outpatient Therapy. He will also review which substances are prevalent in SLO County. Harm reduction will be discussed and how it can benefit clients. Case managements issues, such as navigating referrals and resources for clients and staff, will be covered as well.
