PROFESSIONAL DEVT Science of Happiness Email Banner posted sept 3

An unprecedented online course exploring the roots of a happy, meaningful life.

Join the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley for a course that will help you discover the research-tested keys to happiness and how to apply them to your personal and professional life.

Studies suggest that up to 40 percent of happiness depends on our habits and activities. In this course, you will learn about the activities that science has identified as most important to happiness, exploring the research behind them, particularly the science of compassion, mindfulness, and gratitude.

Each week will introduce you to a practical, science-based strategy nurturing happiness in yourselves and in the lives of your clients, students, and patients.

The course is led by two celebrated teachers of the science of happiness—Emiliana Simon Thomas, Ph.D. and GGSC founder; and UC Berkeley Psychology Professor Dacher Keltner Ph.D.  The course also features guest presentations by some of the world’s leading authorities on positive psychology, including Rick Hanson, Barbara Fredrickson, Sonja Lyubomirsky and Philip Zimabardo.

To receive 10% off as a NASW member, register by phone at (866) 992-9399 and use the code “NASW10.”

Continuing education provided by R. Cassidy Seminars. Course meets the qualifications for (6) or (16) hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider #PCE418.. Course is free to the public; CE credits available for a fee.
