NASW-CA Region C: Revive the Region!

The new board of NASW-CA’s Region C is thrilled to announce its efforts for 2015 REGIONS Revive Region C image posted Feb 25
to Revive the Region, which includes Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa and Solano counties!

Please join us as we launch the movement to create a larger sense of connectivity and community within our local network of social workers. We hope to create a space to support each other during all stages of professional and self development.

 We are honored to have you as an NASW member and ask that you email regioncdirector@gmail.com to join our Google Group. Learn about all the exciting upcoming events for the region and help us create a platform to share in resources, opportunities, and experiences!

 

SAVE the date for our Upcoming CEU Event!

When: Saturday, April 4, 2015, 9:30am to 2:30pm

Where: Highland Care Pavilion, Conference Centers D & E, 1411 E. 31st Street, Oakland

What: Coping with Community Violence: Building a Community of Mutual Support

Who: Presented by Jon Gilgoff, LCSW, Executive Director, Brothers on the Rise

 

 In this interactive workshop you will learn to: 

 

* Practice culturally based rituals that provide an outlet for healing

* Use media/arts to empower clients’ coping with trauma

* Facilitate trauma transformation through service and social action   

 Co-hosted and sponsored by Brothers on the Rise and NASW-CA Region C

Free street parking available and lunch provided

 

Cost:

Free for social work students

Free for Alameda County Youth Workers

$15 for all other professionals

$10 for NASW members
