Plan now for this year’s National Foster Care Month! New tools and resources are available to help you plan a local campaign for your community.
Partner with the Children’s Bureau by using these outreach tools, and inspire your community with this year’s theme: “Foster Care as a Support to Families, Not a Substitute for Parents.”
Here’s what you can do to start:
- Explore the website for tools and trainings, real-life stories, key facts and statistics, and other content to include in your campaign.
- Prepare newsletter or website features linking to the National Foster Care Month website.
- Draft messages for social media or email—or use our sample messages—to spread the word about National Foster Care Month.
- Consider hosting or attending a virtual event in your area that supports foster families. (And tell us about it so we can share it on the Facebook National Foster Care Month page!)
Check out the new shareable graphics! Use them on your organization’s website or in your emails and share them on social media. |
