What does the budget shortfall mean for California?
In collaboration with the California Budget and Policy Center, NASW-CA invites professionals from all corners of social work to join us for an information session and Q&A on the California budget. Representatives from the California Budget and Policy Center will provide an overview of the state budget, projected fiscal outlook, and budget shortfall and impacts. We will explore how the current budget will impact a wide variety of social services and programs, such as mental health services, social services like CalWORKs, food assistance, and tax credits, and how these will affect the communities our profession serves. Ample time for Q&A will be provided.
