If there is one thing I’ve learned this year, it’s that we all have the power to make a change. Whether we made the decision to wear a mask, to donate our time or money to an organization, to take time off to tend to matters at home, to vote, to encourage others to vote, to demonstrate, to exercise, to get out of bed for another Groundhog Day, to tuning in to another zoom meeting… we all have the power to make each of these choices to affect change, for our self, our profession, and our nation. In many ways, 2020 gave us our power back. In a year when so much was out of our control, we’ve learned again about so many things that are within our control. Although our powers vary, we’ve had the opportunity to reset and realize our strength, and my hope is that we continue to build on this as we move into a new year. Most importantly, with power comes privilege… and for those of our sisters and brothers among us who need our help, may we harness our power together and continue to utilize it to help those who need us most. Happy Holidays to you all, from Region H.
