2022 NASW-CA’s CNLI Elections are Now Open!

NASW-CA is looking for new leaders! Consider nominating others or yourself to run for an elected position. Listed below are the open roles:


Regional Directors & Assistant Regional Director Roles

We are seeking Regional Directors for regions A & D, and Assistant Regional Directors for B, E, F, or H.

Regional Directors and Assistant Regional Directors are the chapter’s local liaisons who help drive the chapter’s advocacy and training efforts, and support social worker needs in that region. Regional Directors have a seat at our Board of Directors table, voting privileges, and are Thought Leaders to drive state-level change.

What do Directors get?

  • Free CEUs through the chapter’s online education program
  • Registration discounts on our Macro Social Work Symposium, Lobby Days, and Annual Conference
  • Free travel throughout the state for Chapter meetings (conditions permitting)
  • Opportunities to network and collaborate with statewide leaders in social work

Committee on Nominations & Leadership Identification Roles

We are seeking candidates to represent regions B, D, E/F, or G/H/I.

Committee Members are the decision-making voice to nominate potential leaders to serve in state-level leadership roles. Candidates should have strong ties in their local social work communities and will help to identify Social Workers to help lead the NASW-CA chapter.

What do Committee Members get?

  • Free CEUs through the chapter’s online education program
  • Registration discounts on our Macro Social Work Symposium, Lobby Days, and Annual Conference
  • Free travel throughout the state for Chapter meetings (conditions permitting)
  • Opportunities to network and collaborate with statewide leaders in social work

Student Directors (BSW & MSW)

We are seeking BSW candidates in Northern CA and MSW in Southern CA. Central CA students can apply for either role.

Student Directors are the chapter’s liaisons to the student body to ensure student voices are reflected in the direction of the chapter’s advocacy, trainings, and supports. Student Directors have a seat at our Board of Directors table and are our Thought Leaders to drive state-level change.

What do Student Directors get?

  • Discounts on exam prep courses
  • Registration discounts on our Macro Social Work Symposium, Lobby Days, and Annual Conference
  • Free travel throughout the state for Chapter meetings (conditions permitting)
  • Opportunities to network and collaborate with statewide leaders in social work
