Happy Social Work Month! And a very happy 40th anniversary to the California Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers! Region A will be celebrating the month in a variety of ways in each of the units so stay tuned for announcements on our Facebook page, in the CalSwift notices and in your email inbox.

The San Francisco unit invites you to our Social Work Month networking and CEU event on Thursday, March 13, 2014, 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Institute on Aging, 3575 Geary Blvd. (near Arguello) in San Francisco. Our CEU workshop will be “Social Work and Self Care: Strategies and Tools for Managing Stress and Secondary Pain.”

Sonoma County Unit Report

Come and be honored on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Santa Rosa Original Farmer’s Market: 50 Mark West Springs Rd. in Santa Rosa, California.

In commemoration of Social Work month, the NASW Sonoma unit will take a day to acknowledge the commitment that all social workers make to improve the quality of life opportunities for all people!

Visit our stand and receive a thank you gift as a symbol of our appreciation for the profession of social work and social workers. We will also be fundraising for a regional MSW scholarship. Come buy a book and help a fellow social worker!
