As many of you are aware, NASW-CA has been actively working with the BBS to sustain remote clinical supervision options. The bill to permanently allow remote supervision in all settings, AB 1758 (Aguiar-Curry), is still moving and should be passed by the Legislature and signed by the Governor in early August. Please note the Gubernatorial waiver to allow remote supervision in non-exempt settings, such as private practices and professional corporations, expired on June 30, 2022. In the meantime, if pre-licensees want to make certain their hours gained toward licensure are counted, please ensure that your supervision is in person.

If this situation changes, such as the waiver being extended for the month of July. We will let you know as soon as possible.

UPDATE can be found here.
