Title Protection Call to Action

Last week, Sen. Susan Eggman spoke in support of Title Protection for Social Workers at the Senate Budget Subcommittee #3 meeting. Sen. Eggman, a fellow social worker, has been a champion for our field and for Social Work Title Protections. NASW-CA is celebrating her advocacy and calling on other state leaders to support social workers and consumers alike in defining social work in state law.

Yesterday, we sent a message to Sen. Eggman via Twitter, and made the call to action for other legislators to follow her lead. This week, we would like for you to join us in honoring Sen. Eggman’s efforts.

Please consider:

  • Retweeting our thread with a brief message thanking and tagging @SenSusanEggman
  • Creating a new tweet using the following text as a guide (feel free to personalize the message to explain why Eggman’s advocacy matters to you!) between today and Thursday at 5PM.

This is why social workers should be in elected office. Thank you, @SenSusanEggman, for continuing to uplift the necessity of Social Work Title Protection in CA. Your leadership is noticed and valued.

Together, we can both uplift the work of legislators who are fighting for our field and inspire additional policymakers to answer the call.
