Our hearts are with Texas right now. Thousands of communities across the state of Texas have been hit with devastating impacts of the recent winter storm, leaving individuals and families without power and running potable water for days. Further, many Texans’ homes were not equipped to handle the sudden change in weather and as a result have had to endure devastating physical damage to their properties and wellbeing. We are also hearing about many individuals who have perished due to exposure and lack of heat.
We ask that you consider donating to one of the organizations supporting Texans during this time to support our fellow social workers and the communities they serve. NASW-TX we stand with you. We’ve compiled this list of resources for you to share with your networks, families, and friends.
