Stand Up, Stand Proud, Stand Together!

Dr. Peter Allen Lee, Director of the San Jose State University School of Social Work, leads the group in an inspirational cheer that celebrates the School of Social Work and the social work profession: “Stand Up, Stand Proud, Stand Together!”

Two individuals, who received awards, were unable to attend. They are Michael James Chapman, Outstanding Achievement in Community Organizing; and Sadhna Diwan, Outstanding Undergraduate Social Work Professor.

The chairs from NASW’s South Bay Unit and San Jose State’s School of Social Work Alumni Association collaborated to put on a gala event to celebrate Social Work Month. This event was the largest in the unit’s history, with 100 attendees!
