Thank you to those who attended our quarterly Social Work Policy Consortium – A Necessary Change: The Los Angeles Men’s Central Jail on October 28! This free workshop examined how social workers played a role in the closing of the LA Men’s Central Jail, and the struggles they faced to actualize this plan. This real-world example of justice-related change highlights how social workers can advocate for local level change within their communities.
