Santa Clarita Unit: Adolescents Stages of Development and Educational Implications (1 CEU) on September 13

In partnership with the William S. Hart Union High School District, the Santa Clarita Unit welcomes you to a free virtual CEU presentation on Wednesday, September 13 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. This free event is reserved for 50 registrants.

We will go over a comprehensive understanding of James Marcia’s four identity development stages: Identity Diffusion, Foreclosure, Moratorium, and Identity Achievement. Attendees will be able to identify real-life examples of how Marcia’s identity development stages manifest in modern school settings. Participants will learn practical strategies for parents, teachers, and mental health professionals to assist teenagers in navigating identity development stages effectively.

  • Recognize Real-life Examples of Identity Development in Schools
  • Apply Support Strategies for Facilitating Healthy Identity Development

CEU Provider Statement: Course meets the qualifications for 1 hour of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, provided by NASW-CA.

NASW-CA Refund Policy: To receive a refund, requests must be emailed to naswca@socialworkers.org at least one (1) week prior to the event date. No refunds granted after the event, no exceptions. This policy also applies to group registrants. The refund for group registrations will go directly to the original payer of the registration fee. Refunds may take up to 10 days to process. If attendees pay with a credit card, the refund will be made to the same card. If attendees pay with a check, the refund will be made by check to the person or organization that originally paid for the registration.
