Region F Desert Cities Unit Report

March 2, 2016 Monthly Membership Meeting

The NASW-California Region F, Desert Cities Unit will hold its next monthly meeting on March 2, 2016 at 6:00pm.

At this meeting, Dr. Peter Wagner of Eisenhower Behavioral Health will discuss Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (also known as TMS), a promising outpatient treatment option for individuals suffering from major depression.

TMS uses magnetic pulses to stimulate the areas of the brain thought to control mood, and also shows promise in the treatment of bipolar depression, anxiety, PTSD and auditory hallucinations.

The meeting will be held at the Eisenhower Medical Center, Bob Hope Classic Building, Room 216 in Rancho Mirage.  For more information, contact Scott Darrell at Darrell@usc.edu or follow our Facebook group at “Region F NASW Desert Cities.”
