In this 90 minute class social workers will learn self-care activities and practices designed to identify and process life stressors in order to attend to mental and physical health and improve well-being. We will briefly discuss the value of intentional breath work and meditation and practice three short meditations. There will be time for participants to ask questions, share any experience they have with contemplative practice and hopes for establishing and maintaining such practice. Assistant Region E Director Jania Sommers, LCSW, will be leading this workshop!
Free for all to attend. If you are in need of CEUs, 1.5 California CEUs will be offered for joining us!
