Santa Cruz Unit Report
By Jen Sparber, Unit Co-Chair
In the spirit of collaboration, Santa Cruz social workers have officially begun the Santa Cruz unit in Region B. The founding leadership members are Atea Baxter, Katie Liermann, Mariah Lyons, Renee Lesea and Jen Sparber. To contact co-chairs, please email Atea Baxter at ateabaxter@gmail.com and Jen Sparber at jensparber@gmail.com.
We are excited to participate in this endeavor together and are proud to represent the NASW in the Santa Cruz area. We look forward to collaboration with the local community and agencies that embody the values of social work. Our chapter will be rooted in the needs of local social workers to include opportunities for CEU’s, self-care, networking, peer support and fun! More information will follow soon!
