Provide Curriculum Feedback for Working with Fathers in Child Welfare Training

CalSWEC is requesting statewide feedback for the upcoming annual Continuing Training Curriculum which falls under the “Engagement” ICPM behavior category to be made available for Fiscal Year (FY) 22/23. Over the last two years, CDSS has provided direction around requirements for Continuing Training for child welfare social workers (ACL 20-72 & ACL 21-129) and CalSWEC has partnered to ensure curriculum development and materials are available for statewide use. Similar to the last two years when “Service Planning & Delivery” was the identified ICPM behavior category and two stand alone Concurrent Planning courses were created and made available, the next two fiscal years will follow this same process, only “Engagement” will be the ICPM behavior category and two Father Engagement courses will be made available. The curriculum for FY 22/23 is titled: Working with Fathers in Child Welfare.

Please see the attached Trainer Guide (PDF), PowerPoint (PDF), and supplemental handouts for review. Please provide feedback through this form by COB May 2, 2022. At this time, only feedback provided via this link can be incorporated – the link will take you to a Qualtrics form. You will be asked to provide your feedback for each segment, as well as for the curriculum overall. There will be sections in the survey that may ask for written feedback. Please be as specific as possible so we can incorporate your valuable insight. No need to worry about grammar or formatting, this is a content specific review request.

If you have other questions or trouble accessing the feedback form, please reach out to the calswec_rta@berekely.edu general email box.
