The Northern Gateway Unit of NASW will present Dr. Tsui LCSW, PSY.D, who will offer the Law and Ethics training.
The event is on February 27, 2017 at the Redding Library on 1100 Parkview, Redding, CA 96001 from 9 am to 4 pm.
The price for NASW members is $30 and for non members $ 70. Six CEU’s will be offered for LCSW’s, LPCC’s, LEP’s and MFT’s.
Dr. Tsui, is a adjunct faculty member of the CSU, a consultant to SF suicide prevention and has served as a clinical assistant professor of social work at the Smith College. He has years of experience and will present on legal proceedings as subpoenas, depositions, client confidentiality and privileged communication as well as analyzing the relationship between ethics and law and offering us a framework for ethical dilemmas related to clients and colleagues. We will learn to apply legal principles to guard against liability, learn about patriot act and Tarasoff rule and formulate appropriate policies and procedures to minimize risk while insuring high quality of care.
