While the NASW-CA’s California News went paperless a few years ago, it will continue the transition starting with the January 2014 issue. Staff has been working on creating an interactive web-based platform version to replace the paper formatted Adobe portable document file (PDF) version. This means members will get the same great stories but without word limits and be able to submit comments and use social media features such as “liking” through Facebook.
During this transition we expect some glitches initially so we ask our readership to provide us with feedback so we can make improvements.
The other advantage of the new version is we hope to provide news and stories that are real time as they happen along with editorials, blogs and commentary. This means members will be notified as news happens via email allowing for response and action and action if needed.
