LBHC Conference a Big Success!

On behalf of the LBHC planning committee, I would like to express our deepest appreciation for NASW-CA’s generous support of this year’s 10th annual Liberation-Based Healing Conference! Your important and vital contribution enabled us to:

  • Create a critically conscious, inclusive and empowering learning and strategizing space for 500 people this weekend!
  • Highlight and center on Indigenous, people of color, women, LGBTQ, Muslim, and youth perspectives.
  • Bring incredible keynotes like Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz and Father Boyle to share their insight with us!
  • Facilitate powerful art and experiential activities that enhanced dialogue and learning.
  • Showcase more than 15 different community organizations to network and share resources with over 300 guests.
  • Give space to the CSUN MOSAIC program to host an incredibly successful silent auction, and to share their social justice vision for empowering young adults.
  • Provide lunch for all attendees, and dinner for our planning committee, volunteers, moderators and panelists.
  • Host an inspirational closing ceremony with tremendous moving performances by local musicians and poets.
  • Build new alliances, strengthen community ties, and expand the tools we have at our disposal to organize and unify to challenge social injustice.
