Millions of Americans live with mental illness and addiction. Deaths from suicide and overdose are at an all-time high. Breaking down barriers to prevention strategies, treatment, and recovery supports has never been more important. But somehow, these issues still haven’t received the attention they deserve in the presidential election cycle.

If we want transformational change that improves our mental health and addiction care systems, we need elected officials to take these issues seriously. That’s why Mental Health for US is calling on you to take action and help your community. Join Mental Health for US and the National Association of Social Workers for a discussion on the importance of advocacy and learn how to help your friends, clients, and communities register to vote
