Council Leadership

Meet the Council on Aging Leaders

Our Council leaders help create opportunities for learning, connection, collaboration, and engagement around issues affecting older adults and the social workers who serve them.

Council Co-Chair

David A. Resnikoff MSW, LCSW

“I am passionate about Social Justice! There is no true freedom without justice for all people. Despite the fact that we live in a brutal capitalist society we do not have to participate in brutality. We can all look at the systems we are part of and ensure that we are treating each other and ourselves with dignity and fairness. Look out for brutality and reject it on all levels.”

Council Co-Chair

Ben Jauregui, DSW, MPA, CCM, LSSYB

Dr. Jáuregui is a dedicated advocate for older adults and people with disabilities. He founded the Inland Empire Disabilities Collaborative, a partnership among IEHP, Community Access Center, and PossAbilities at Loma Linda University focused on strengthening resources, access, and support for individuals with disabilities throughout the Inland Empire.

About the Council

Supporting Social Workers Across the Aging Continuum

The Council on Aging brings together social workers and students interested in issues affecting older adults, caregivers, families, communities, and the professionals who support them.

Through educational programming, professional conversations, advocacy, networking, and resource sharing, the Council creates opportunities to strengthen social work practice while addressing the evolving needs of an aging population.

Whether aging is your primary practice area or an emerging professional interest, you are welcome to participate.
