Clinical Supervisor (PT): HealthTrust

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will perform psychosocial assessments and develop mutually agreed upon intervention plans with clients. They will be responsible for implementing safe and sustainable treatment plans. Must be able to work collaboratively with Santa Clara County and community partners.  Preferred experience should include mental and behavioral health with homeless populations. The client population presents with psychosocial needs including but not limited to Dementia, Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist staff to write quality Medi-Cal approved assessments, treatment plans, & progress notes within required timeline. 
  • Review, approve and sign-off on all required diagnosis and treatment plans. 
  • Provide training, coaching (individual and group) and guidance on Medi-Cal documentation, as needed.
  • Review and correct Medi-Cal documentation, as needed
  • Provide and support staff with differential diagnosis for clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality of medical and psychiatric records of clients as required by applicable state and federal laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • Master’s degree in social work is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a LCSW.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or License Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Minimum one year of counseling related experience in the area Homeless populations preferred.
  • At least 2 years of managing and supervising unlicensed staff. 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY

  • Capacity to work with clients in a confidential, respectful, caring, professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, including trauma informed care framework. 
  • Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health and substance use.)
  • Ability to make routine decisions and determine proper action based on experience within the limits of policy and procedures. 
  • Demonstrate oral/written skills in Spanish and English. 
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages and economic backgrounds in a culturally competent and sensitive manner. 
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize various office equipment machines, Microsoft Office Products and Google Apps (Gmail, Contacts, Calendar).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse population groups and maintain a high standard of professional and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to conduct effective interviews at times under difficult or stressful circumstances.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and/or with general supervision, prioritize and problem solve. Critical thinking ability and good judgment.
  • Knowledge of business correspondence and able to write clearly and effectively and an ability to proofread for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Automobile available for daily use, a valid California driver’s license and car insurance as required by the State of California.
  • Annual Tuberculosis Screening required.
  • Employment background screening required.
