5th Annual Social Work Practice-Research Roundtable

Get on your mark, get set and join us at the 5th Annual Social Work Practice-Research Roundtable, October 7, 2016 at the Harper Alumni Center, Sacramento State University, Sacramento, CA 95819.

Be an active participant in decreasing the gap between research and practice ensuring the best results for clients and the advancement of the profession.

The Roundtable is committed to providing an environment where practitioners and researchers can exchange ideas, concerns and challenges of promoting meaningful results that benefit clients and agency staff.

This year, the Keynote address will be given by Laurie Drabble, Ph.D., MSW, MPH,  Professor, SJSU School of Social Work. Her focus will be on the rewards and challenges of developing strong Agency-University partnerships.  She will use examples from her recent work in Santa Clara County agencies.  Her strong commitment to the partnership approach will resonate with the desire of all participants to actively be involved in achieving meaningful outcomes.

The Afternoon Session will feature a Panel of experts discussing from their personal perspectives how funding of grants/proposals is achieved.

The Roundtable looks forward to encouraging attendance from a wide range of public and non-profit sectors, practice settings and research interest.  We look forward to seeing you on October 7, 2016.
