I have informed CMS of improper 2017 PQRS penalties CSWs are receiving and they have agreed to review PQRS penalties CSWs have received for 2017.
If you are aware of members who were inappropriately penalized, would you please provide me with their names, a copy of their PQRS Medicare portal, and their NPI numbers.
Examples of penalties include (1) Did not use 9 measures; (2) Did not use blood pressure measure; and (3) Did not use Medication reconciliation measure. Members should continue to file for an informal review by November 30, 2016.
For additional information, you may refer to the following link: http://www.socialworkers.org/includes/newIncludes/homepage/NEGATIVE%20PQRS%20PAYMENT%20ADJUSTMENT%20FOR%202017.pdf
Information should be forwarded to me by November 28, 2016 for submission to CMS. I apologize for the short response period, however, it is not avoidable.
Thanks for your prompt assistance with this matter.
