Mental health professionals are exposed to the traumatic experiences of those they serve, leaving them at risk of experiencing compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout. This workshop encourages participants to explore the symptoms of compassion fatigue, burnout, and vicarious trauma. Participants will then develop coping skills to increase self-care and vicarious resilience.

Course Objectives:

  • Describe the difference between vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue
  • Explore and develop and increased understanding of “burn out”
  • Identify skills and develop a self-care plan that can be implemented as a daily practice

Fees:

  • NASW Member: Free
  • Nonmember: $20

Refund Policy: No refunds will be processed after March 8, 2023, 12 pm PST. No exceptions. For refunds before this date and time, please submit a request to Mario Espitia at mespitia.naswca@socialworkers.org.
