Upcoming Event: Multicultural Counseling in Community Practice

The NASW CCU is very excited to announce that, on January 22, 2016 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm we will be hosting a full-day training: Multicultural Counseling in Community Practice, taught by Dr. Matthew Mock.

Dr. Mock is an esteemed professor of psychology at the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at John F. Kennedy University. He has also served as the statewide director of the Center for Multicultural Development with the California Institute for Mental Health in Sacramento.

Dr. Mock has over 40 years of experience in the field of social work, and has published extensively in the areas of multiculturalism, diverse families, trauma, and social justice.

This course is a unique and valuable opportunity to learn key elements of cultural competency for agency work and private practice therapy.

Space for this training will be limited and registration is set to open.

The cost to attend is $80 for NASW members, and $100 for non-members.  Lunch will be included at the event.  This training will be good for 6 CEUs.

Please mark your calendars, and keep on the lookout for e-mails and Facebook posts containing more details on the event and how to register.
