Volunteer and Support the San Jose Public Library!

NASW-CA is seeking members to help volunteer, support, and provide their services at the San Jose Public Library (SJPL) by offering free information and referral consultations. Join this long-standing program as it expands, and help us reach our most vulnerable community members all while learning about the burgeoning field of Library Social Work! We ask for a time commitment of 4-5 hours monthly for at least four months, and offer flexible scheduling to fit your needs. You’ll work closely with the program coordinator to schedule appointments with interested library patrons. Help SJPL learn more about what our community needs and resources available. To learn more about SJPL’s Personal Growth initiatives, visit: https://www.sjpl.org/personal-growth-menu

“This program helped me tremendously for personal and professional growth.” – Former SJPL volunteer Jenny Kim, LCSW

Interested folks who would like to support San Jose Public Library can contact Juliana at julianna.black@sjlibrary.org or (650) 383 – 8050.
