About the Presenter: Victor Manalo, Ph.D., MSW Dr. Victor Manalo is a university professor at Cal State Los Angeles and former Mayor and councilmember for the City of Artesia. He is President of the National Association of Social Workers, California Chapter (NASW-CA) Chapter Board of Directors, Chair of the Planning Commission for the City of Artesia, and an Executive Committee Member of the Los Angeles County Mental Health Commission. As a consultant, he provides business development services for companies in pedestrian safety and sustainable pavement solutions, and he works across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to create healthy communities to support children, youth, and families in the foster care system.
