Shelter Inc Provides Resources As Well As Rent and Utility Assistance To Families Affected By Covid-19 Pandemic

As the pandemic continues to impact lives, there are some resources available to help those most in need!   Please see the attached information about available rental assistance from Shelter Inc. and trainings on Energy Justice during COVID and beyond from TURN.

1.    There are rental assistance funds available to help people remain housed; please see the attached flyers! The first step in applying is via an online form in English or Spanish.

2.    TURN is offering a FREE four-part series gives advocates and service providers:

•      Up-to-date information on public polices to protect families from being shut off during and after the COVID pandemic (including the potential to forgive a portion of eligible customers’ debt).

•      Information on new and emerging rules adopted by the CPUC that protect families from shutoffs.

•      Practical training on how to enroll in Medical Baseline, CARE, AMP & other programs that can reduce utility costs.

•      Spanish Interpretation Will Be Provided
