SAVE THE DATE! Social Workers L.E.A.D on August 10

NASW-CA is proud to present Social Workers L.E.A.D, our first-ever Legislative Education and Advocacy Day designed for social work professionals! Save the date for this virtual event on Wednesday, August 10th, where social workers throughout the state of California will learn about legislative advocacy and join NASW-CA in continuing our lobbying efforts for state-level policy change.

When you participate in Social Workers L.E.A.D., you will:

  • Connect and build lasting relationships with other professionals in the field throughout California
  • Receive training about legislative work, macro social work, and how to lobby for social work aligned agendas
  • Learn about NASW-CA’s advocacy platform and how to continue to be involved and engaged year-round
  • Gain direct experience in lobbying for state-level policy change and advocating for issues that matter to our field

Capacity for this event will be limited and more details and registration information will be shared soon, so RSVP here and mark your calendars to join NASW-CA in continuing to advance change.

Fees:

  • NASW Member: $25
  • Nonmember: $45
