What: Advancing Social Justice through Grassroots Advocacy
Join NASW-CA and a panel of four dynamic social workers who are leading within their communities at the forefront of sociopolitical change. Learn how local-level grassroots change takes place, and the vehicles through which social workers, other providers, and allies can contribute to advancing equity and justice in the context of civic engagement, education, behavioral health, criminal justice, and health care reform. (NOTE: We will announce our panel speakers soon!)
Who should attend? Any social worker, community member, community-based provider, and ally who is interested in grassroots activism!
When: Thursday Feb 11, 6-7:30pm.
Cost: 1.0 CEUs offered. Free for NASW members and the general public if not receiving CEUs. If you are receiving CEUs, and you are a non-member, cost to attend is $5. Course meets the qualifications for 1 hour of continuing credit for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, provided by NASW-CA.
