Happy National Census Day! On April 1st, one year from today, the 2020 Census will be in full swing.
So much more than a population count, the Census determines the distribution of political power and money from the federal government to our communities. When we aren’t counted our communities don’t get their fair share.
We at Rock the Vote are dedicated to building the political power of young people so we’re working to ensure young people understand the importance of the Census and being counted.
And, because this will be many young people’s first Census we created a short explainer video to kick off our efforts. Please feel free to incorporate theWe Count video in your Day of Action outreach. We’ve included a social media toolkit to make it easy!
