Previously we posted the list of announcements from the Board of Behavior Sciences (BBS) regarding new law changes going into effect in 2020. BBS’s New Rule “Requirement to provide notice to psychotherapy clients” (AB630, Chapter 229, Statutes of 2019)  states that beginning July 1, 2020, all mental health counselors, whether licensed or unlicensed, will be required to provide a notice to each of their clients stating where they can file a complaint. This applies to all ASWs and LCSWs regardless of setting.
