REGION I: Celebrate Social Work Month at Casa Fina Restaurant on March 14th, 2020

Join us for brunch and self-care this coming Social Work Month!!! Let’s celebrate each other’s accomplishments and the many contributions of our social work profession. There will be raffles, networking opportunities, and 3.0 CEU (for licensed social workers)!

Join us for brunch at Casa Fina Restaurant in Boyle Heights and meet Rebecca Gonzales, Director of Government Relations and Political Affairs for NASW-CA!!! Learn about NASW-CA’s statewide efforts in advocating for our social work profession and the vulnerable populations we serve.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1) Increase knowledge of NASW California Chapter’s statewide efforts in lobbying and advocating for the social work profession and the vulnerable populations served by social workers in the State of California.
2) Explore social work macro skills and opportunities for involvement in the political and lobbying process.
3) Identify signs of stress and burnout and explore self-care strategies.

Course meets the qualifications for 3.0 hours of continuing credit for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
