Hosted by NASW-CA Region C and led by State Senator Aisha Wahab, this panel aims to promote awareness and understanding of caste discrimination and its impact on marginalized communities. The historic SB 403 bill aims to prohibit caste discrimination in California by adding caste as a protected category to existing civil rights acts.
This panel is an opportunity to educate the community and gain new supporters from moderate or tentative groups. The bill was passed by unanimous votes in the Senate and Judiciary committee. Let’s work together towards equality and social justice.
