  Clinical social workers can participate in the development of the International Classification of Diseases, Eleventh Edition, Clinical Modification (ICD-11-CM) by registering for the World Health Organization’s Global Clinical Practice Network (GCPN).
• Medicare Increase for 2014 and ICD-10-CM Implementation Delayed, April 2014
  The Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 law, which was signed by President Obama on April 1, 2014, averts the 23.7 percent cut in 2014 Medicare payments for clinical social workers. It also delays the implementation of the ICD-10-CM to at least October 1, 2015.
