New NASW Member Resources Available!

New Practice Perspective on Elder Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation available to NASW members: www.socialworkers.org/practice/newsletters/default.asp

Early registration is now open for Hospice Foundation of America’s (HFA’s) 2015 Living with Grief® program, The Longest Loss: Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, sponsored by NASW. The program, worth three NASW-approved continuing education credits, features NASW members Nancy Pearce (NC) and Kathie Supiano (UT). The program will be available by DVD or online streaming video Web cast from April 22, 2015, to April 21, 2016. HFA’s 2014 program, Living with Grief: Helping Adolescents Cope with Loss, featuring NASW member Stacy Orloff and also worth three CE credits, remains available online or on DVD until April 9, 2015: http://hospicefoundation.org/Professionals/All-Programs/Program-Display?programid=1 

The National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (www.napgcm.org) had an exhibit booth at NASW’s national conference in July. NAPGCM is interested in exhibiting at NASW chapter conferences that are either specific to aging or have an aging track.
