National Foster Care Month Website Now Live

The Children’s Bureau–together with its information
service, Child Welfare Information

Gateway–is pleased to announce the 2015
National Foster Care Month website is now live!

Visit https://www.childwelfare.gov/fostercaremonth/

This year’s theme, “Get to Know the Many Faces of Foster Care,” recognizes the diversity among the children and youth in foster care, the types of foster families, and the professionals who play key roles in bringing children and families together:

By visiting the National Foster Care Month website, you can:

  • Access new resources geared specifically toward youth, foster families and caregivers, community, Tribes, and professionals working in foster care.
  • Explore real-life stories —  both narratives and videos — told from the perspective of families, youth, foster parents, and caseworkers.
  • Promote National Foster Care Month by using downloadable widgets for your website, email signature blocks, and sample posts for Facebook and Twitter. Join the conversation on social media with #FosterCareMonth.
  • Connect with others through our interactive State Foster Care directory, where you can access state-by-state contact information to learn about their policies, practices, and promotion of National Foster Care Month.

Share this message with your friends, family, and colleagues! Be sure to check back in May for updates, a Presidential Proclamation, and much more!
