Mental Health for US is a nonpartisan educational initiative focused on elevating mental health and addiction to national policy conversations in early primary states including Iowa, New Hampshire and California. The Mental Health for US coalition includes NASW and the California event was co-sponsored by the NASW USC Unit.
The speakers highlighted the long term and continuing crisis in serving people with mental health and addiction issues. They also made the case for reforming the behavioral health system so that it is well integrated with other services and programs and adequately resourced.
