NASW-CA is thrilled to learn that Congressmember Josh Harder, who represents the San Joaquin Valley, secured over $1.6 million to expand the California State University Stanislaus’s social work department. We are grateful to know that this funding will address critical shortages of mental health providers, provide stipends and paid internships for students, and increase the number of supervising social workers. Thank you, Congressmember Harder, for your advocacy and commitment to health care and social work.
