NASW-CA is outraged, shocked, and weary. Today, we witnessed the violence of unlawful rioters who stormed the nation’s capitol in protest of President-Elect Biden’s just win. We condemn President Trump for inciting violence, we condemn acts of violence and hatred, and we condemn the discriminatory behavior exhibited by police who met these rioters with very obviously less force than those who protested in the name of BLM and for the justice of Black and Brown individuals. We will not be silent, and we will call this what it is. This is racism.
