Every year since 1949, May is observed as Mental Health Awareness Month. There are typically many events across the country organized to bring awareness to the growing need for access to mental health resources for everyone in America. This year, with the current pandemic causing the country to shut down and shelter in place, our resolve needs to be stronger than ever. We know that it’s been a challenge having to adapt very quickly to telehealth practices and also adhering to social distancing guidelines while trying to advocate for our clients from afar.
We’ll keep you up to date with virtual events happening throughout this month. If you hear about any before we do, you can always send us a message with any tips! Email us at naswnews@naswca.org!
