L.A. Works launched a TeleSocial Program a mere five days into the pandemic to help isolated adults receive consistent social contact. We’ve since grown the program to include housing vulnerable individuals. This unique call program has a two-year track record of success in combating isolationism in over 200 homebound adults, and that is just the beginning! The right candidate for this job is Spanish-speaking and interested in a macro/mezzo social work position. The right candidate holds an MSW or a BSW plus several years of program management experience. The job is fully remote and entails program development and evaluation, supporting volunteer callers, providing resources, intervening when necessary, and corresponding with case workers. The right candidate would be interested in growing the program, building off the success and resources created in the first two years of the program to continue growing it.
