Join the Work of the Social Action/Social Justice Council

Social workers throughout California can organize in local, regional, national, and international social justice campaigns through NASW-CA’s Social Action/Social Justice Council! Council members share social action and social justice-oriented events, activities, resources, and volunteer and employment listings to expand the reach of community organizing opportunities. We are eager to engage NASW-CA members and the broader social work community in our efforts, and invite your participation in 2023.

The Social Action/Social Justice Council aims to offer:

• Information and Clearing House related to social action and social justice topics
• Education and Training Modules
• Leadership and Mentoring
• Public and Media Relations
• Organizing and Engaging in Action-Oriented Activities locally and beyond

All social workers are invited to join, including both NASW-CA members and non-members. Interested folks can sign up to be added to the Social Action/Social Justice Council listserv for information sharing and brainstorming, participate in our LinkedIn Group, and engage with the SA/SJ Council Facebook Group.
